    This 3 hour continuing competency course satisfies the requirements for renewing your Michigan Builders License.

    • Michigan Construction Lien Law:
      This new one hour course, satisfying the legal topic requirement is a must have for any builder. It is very common that there is a financial dispute between the builder, the supplier and or homeowner. Knowing the legal statutes and more importantly knowing what you can do upfront to clear your liability and make sure you get paid are essential. 

    • Michigan Energy Code: 
      The energy code is now included in the 2015 Michigan Residential Code Book. There have been major changes since 2009 which was the last time the stated adopted a new code. Make sure you are fully up to speed on the latest energy code with this one hour code portion of your continuing competency. 

    • MIOSHA:
      This program will review the MIOSHA Construction Safety Standard for Fall Protection and the latest MIOSHA udpates.  Examination of recent fatal falls in construction and discussion of the latest fall protection techniques for construction will also be covered.  Be sure you are up to date with all the current MIOSHA fall protection changes with this one our MIOSHA course.

    • Course Completion Certificate

    You may complete this online course at your convenience. Once you are completed with the course you will be issued your completion certificate.

    Code Book Required to Renew your Michigan Builders License

    State law now requires you to have a current copy of the Michigan Residential Code book to renew your license.  The Michigan Residential Code 2015 is the most current version available. If you do not have a Michigan Residential Code book, you may add one to your order by clicking on "Add" for the code book shown to the left.  You will be able to choose your shipping options during checkout.
