Q. Must I complete the 60-Hour Pre-License course to obtain a Michigan Builders License?
A. Yes, to obtain a Michigan Builders License you must first take a 60-hour prelicensure course from an approved provider.
Q. What happens if I do not complete this course?
A. You will not be able to get your application approved to take the exam until you have completed the 60-Hour Pre-License Course.
Q. Am I required to obtain a Michigan Residential Code book?
A. Yes, all licensees are required to have a current edition of the Michigan Residential Codebook.
Q. What are the requirements to obtain your Michigan Residential Builders License?
A. Complete an approved State of Michigan 60-Hour Prelicensure Builders Course and obtain a certificate of completion from the provider.
