Have you paid for leads now or in the past?
If you have, I am sure you have experienced bad leads, and no way to pre-qualify the leads that are coming in.
But guess what, you don’t have to pay for leads.
Our friends at DYB Coach explain how to not to.
Utilize these tools and never pay for leads again:
Thank You Notes
One way to stay at the top of one’s mind is send Thank You and Nice to Meet you notes. Even if they don’t need your services, it keeps you in their mind when someone else does.
When you give an estimate, send a thank you note saying, “hey, thank you for the opportunity.”
When you meet someone at an event, send a it was nice to meet you note.
Nobody sends a hand-written cards anymore and people enjoy recieving them, so start writing some notes, it works!
Social media is VERY strong. Even if you are not on it, everyone else is.
It’s a great way to get your name out there in your community and help your web presence which we will discuss in the next section.
Do you have a Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram? If not, start one and use it! Have fun with it.
All of these platforms will bring you straight to the top and will help you to stay top of mind when someone is looking for a builder.
People take you seriously when you have a website.
Anyone who looks for you online will want to visit your website to get a feel for you. It helps you explain who you are, what you offer and a place to contact you when they are ready for your services.
Also, when done right, as soon as they search for builder like yourself, you are the first one to come up.
If you need help with your website check out our friends at Prompt Internet. They have helped builder’s just like you.
Networking is huge!
Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, BNI, even Meetups. They all work well and will get you out there to meet people.
Find ones in your area that interest you and join. The more people you come into contact with the more you are getting your name out there.
There are so many options for charities and it’s another way to spread your name.
Get out there, help someone out, build something on a day off.
You can sit in front of the computer and play with these silly leads that you guys are paying for, or you can go out and call your local charity and ask them what they need built that day.
It’s going to repay you more in the long run.
You can donate your services to a local charity, they are going to put you in their company newsletter and everybody who works there is going to talk about you.
Also its great way to meet other people who live locally and might be looking for your services.
All in all you might spend a some money on doing these things, but the returns will far outweigh the output and have a higher return in the end than a lead company.
So get out there and put these things to practice and watch the leads come in.
